Retired fire trucks going up for auction at Manheim

Thirty-five up for grabs cross a variety of makes, models, sizes and cab types

Manheim Australia is auctioning 35 retired ex-government fire trucks and associated firefighting equipment, with the catalogue featuring Freightliner, Hino, Isuzu and Mitsubishi-based fire trucks of different sizes and cab types built between 1990 and 2003.

The on-line auction begins on October 3, 2025.

The bright red workhorses have been very well-maintained and generally come with low mileage – meaning they’re ready for their next assignment on the front line, and particularly suited to remote farmers or businesses requiring a rapid onsite firefighting solution.

The equipment is located in Victoria and New South Wales, plus a smaller number in Tasmania and Queensland. Inspections are strongly recommended to ensure the asset is suitable to your specific application and budget.

As well as the trucks, there are multiple Tempest and Smallaire Blowers, and a couple of separate firefighting units available.

Highlights:

• Ten Mitsubishi Canter compact fire trucks built between 1993 and 2003, all with under 35,000km on the odometer.
• Fourteen Isuzu F-series fire trucks, both single- and double-cab built between 1991 and 2002, with mileage as low as 10,811km.
• Ten Hino FT-series fire trucks built between 1990 and 1991, all with mileage under 80,000km.
• One 1998 Freightliner FL80 double-cab fire truck with 66,426km showing.
• Sixteen Tempest T-series blower fans.
