Successful turnout at KUHN expo

Almost 400 attendees turned up to see over 30 KUHN machinery models on display or in action

KUHN’s 2020 Farm Machinery Expo, held recently in the small town of Naracoorte, South Australia, has been dubbed a success by the French farm machinery manufacturer after hundreds showed up to see what KUHN has in store for the Australian market.

The two-day event attracted almost 400 registered attendees, which KUHN said exceeded that of its previous event in 2017 in Cowra, NSW.

From March 4 to 5, dealers and customers had the chance to see over 30 pieces of machinery on display or in action, spanning a wide range of applications including hay, silage, tillage, spraying, spreading and feed mixing.

The highly anticipated KUHN SB 1290 iD large square baler featuring the innovative iD high density baling system with a double plunger was a highlight at the expo.

The machine has been designed with simple, efficient techniques like integral rotor and power density to produce rock-hard, perfectly shaped bales, KUHN said.

“The live demonstration of the baler was a tremendous success,” said KUHN Australia Marketing Manager and Baler Product Specialist, Michael Murer.

“The baler has exceeded sales expectations in the Australian market, and on the back of the expo I anticipate that sales will only continue to grow.”

Another highlight of the show was the OPTIMER L12000 disc cultivator which was on display in Australia for the first time.

“The OPTIMER L12000 is wider, stronger, faster and meets the requirements of large-scale farmers looking for high work output, optimal comfort and a perfect ground tracking system without compromising work quality,” Murer said.

Besides live demonstrations and machinery displays, KUHN also offered product workshops, presentations, exclusive access to special finance offers and a competitive silent auction at the expo.

In addition to Australian representatives, global KUHN product experts and factory experts from France and Netherlands were also in attendance at the event to provide exclusive industry insights on KUHN machines and the future of farm machinery.

“The KUHN Expo 2020 has once again been a huge success,” said KUHN Australia Managing Director, Bruno Fetiveau.

“As the world’s largest farm implements manufacturer, the expo is important for KUHN customers and dealers to be able to learn from our technical product specialists and showcase our extensive product range in real world conditions,” he said.

After the expo, KUHN will be selling the hay bales made during the live demonstrations at market price and will donate the proceeds to Rural Aid Australia.
