If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is probably worth millions. That is why we take full pride in our video work because why stop at texts and images like the magazines and newspapers when we can show you quality moving images of machines in action?
Our most viewed videos of 2019 cover both new product walkarounds as well as comprehensive reviews, with a surprising winner taking out the most viewed title.
It was a long awaited product launch and when it finally happened, people paid full attention.
CLAAS’ brand new range of combines weren’t a redesign but rather a brand new series of machines offering much greater levels of efficiencies compared to earlier models.
We attended the media launch of the next generation CLAAS LEXION 8000/7000 combines in Melbourne and spoke to product manager, Steve Reeves, to get all the goss on the new machines.
It’s a winning combination – the old and the new. Case IH decided to mix a little bit of nostalgia with the latest in harvesting technology to produce the retro-style Axial Flow 150 series combine harvesters.
Officially unveiled to the public at the Wimmera Machinery Field Days this year, the combine certainly stood out for its vintage design. However, inside the cab and under the hood, the machine is anything but old-school. Some of the technology it offers include an advanced residue management system and a Cross-Flow cleaning system with side hill compensation.
We talked to Case IH product manager, Tim Slater, about the new Axial-Flow 7150 combine harvester.
The striking image of the combine harvester is enough to suck you in.
Featuring a graphite-gray paint job looking like it came from space, the Massey Ferguson IDEAL combine is claimed to be the next big thing in the harvesting world.
So much so that it swept up the Machine of the Year award at the 2019 Wimmera Machinery Field Days.
Striking exterior aside, it comes with a suite of industry leading features including the longest rotors in the industry, largest threshing area, largest grain tank, fastest unloading rate and more.
We spoke to AGCO dealership Traction Ag about the game-changing combine and what makes it a bit different from other combines on the market.
The newest incarnation of Challengers tracked rigs are sophisticated, efficient and very pleasing to the eye, to say the least.
It was one of the most talked about launches of 2018 and earlier this year, we finally had the opportunity to have a go in the MT740 from the new range offering 400hp.
Apart from being powerful enough to handle the toughest of jobs, it is also very fuel efficient to offer farmers the best value for money.
In addition, it is also very comfortable to drive. Suffice to say, we came away very impressed.
Our most viewed video of the year wasn’t about an unusual product like a robotic loader or about a John Deere new machine launch, which always seem to get a lot of clicks.
Instead, it was about a simple but innovative new planter bar by local manufacturer, Gason, which goes to show that farmers are all about local manufacturing and Aussie made products.
The NT8000 made its public debut at the 2019 Wimmera Machinery Field Days. It features a working width of 8m but folds to just 3.5m for ease of transport from paddock to paddock without the need for an escort. According to Gason, farmers want a versatile seeder bar that meets transport requirements and the company was more than happy to deliver.
We caught up with Gason design engineer, Tom McCluskey, to get the lowdown on the new planter and how it was built to suit Australian conditions.
