Local heavy equipment distributor Agrison is better known for its range of sub-100hp tractors catering to hobby farmers and property owners, but the company has ventured into the mid-horsepower category in recent years, releasing its 100hp CDF tractor about 12 months ago.
According to Agrison sales manager, Peter McFarland, the tractor received a fantastic response from customers following its launch.
"It has been very popular, and got some really good features," he says.
Powered by a YTO engine offering 100hp, the unit has been designed for use on medium to large acreage farms.
A key feature of the 100hp CDF tractor, McFarland says, is the dual hydraulic rams at the back for the three-point-linkage.
"This way, the tractor will give you much more lifting power," he says.
Operators can control the three-point-linkage from the back of the tractor, as well as from inside the cabin for convenience.
A fully air-conditioned cab allows operators to work in comfort, and controls are laid out ergonomically within reach. The Agrison 100hp CDF is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 35km/h, with a creeper gear setup for specialty applications or for towing heavy implements.
A two-speed PTO and PTO clutch come standard with the new model.
"If you're doing something and you need to stop and get out of the tractor, you can leave your engine running and just lift the PTO clutch lever up, and that will disengage or clutch whatever you're using with the PTO at the back," McFarland explains.
"Another good feature about this tractor is there are no computers in here at all.
"If there's a problem with the machine, you don't have to rely on anyone coming out with a laptop because you've broken down."
"Also, if you have a look at it, the quality of the tractor is superb," McFarland adds.
"The finishes are very nice, even just the pinchweld around the wheel arches, it's just finished correctly."
The Agrison 100hp CDF is priced at $43,990 including GST. It comes standard with a front end loader, 4-in-1 bucket with teeth and a five-year warranty.
Agrison's tractors are manufactured out of a facility in Shandong, China, and have been put through stringent tests to ensure the machines suit harsh Australian conditions.
In addition to tractors, Agrison also carries a range of construction machinery including wheel loaders, graders and excavators. The company also offers generators and portable cabins.
