VIDEO: Kärcher makes easy work of cleaning equipment

New and improved trigger gun system reduces operator fatigue while washing down equipment or buildings

Cleaning equipment specialist Kärcher has improved its pressure washer offering by introducing a new high-pressure gun system designed to take the hard work out of washing down equipment.

Its range of high pressure washers that caters to a wide range of operators - from farmers to construction machinery fleet owners, was out on display at the 2017 Elmore field days in October this year.

While the range has been around for a while, the company is constantly improving its products and has recently added a new EASY!Force trigger gun to replace the old system.

According to Kärcher, one push on the trigger activates the gun system to release steam or water and operators need not hold down the trigger continuously while washing down, hence significantly reducing operator fatigue. Another push on the trigger deactivates the gun, as well as the entire pressure washer.

One of the models on display at the field days was the HDS 7/12-4 M, which is a middle class, single phase, heated high-pressure cleaner ideal for a wide range of applications, including agricultural, construction, council and more.

“One of the points that sets Kärcher apart is, we use all stainless steel for our heating coils and for that reason we never have any rust in the heating coils, while some of the competition use mild steel which is cost saving,” says Kärcher rep, Ben Sidgwick.

“We’ve also got high pressure detergent application. The machine has two detergent tanks built in and you can dial in the detergent while you’re still using it under high pressure.”

Another key feature of the HDS 7/12-4 M is the ability to release steam for sanitisation purposes.

“It’s steam capable as standard so you can get this up to 155 degrees so you can sanitise if required,” Sidgwick says.

The machine has a maximum operating pressure of 120 bar and features a user-friendly control panel and LED display for an easy and efficient operation.
