German brand, Wacker Neuson, is perhaps more well known for its range of road making equipment such as compactors, rollers and vibratory plates, but the company claimed its earthmoving equipment such as excavators and skid steer loaders sit right up there with the well-known brands.
In particular, its range of compact loaders is gaining a steady client base in Australia, with more and more contractors deviating towards the brand, according to Toowoomba based Wacker Neuson dealership, Equipment Specialists Australia.
The ST31 model, one of the more popular ones in the range, was on display at the dealership’s stand at the Civil Construction Field Days held in Brisbane earlier this year.
“We've sold a few of these and they have been very popular,” said Equipment Specialist Australia’s Rohan Anderson.
“The customers like a lot of their features, the vertical lift boom, the wide opening door, the operator comfort and the low noise.
“It is a very smooth, fast running machine.”
A key factor that made Wacker Neuson’s compact track loaders stand out, according to Anderson, is the customisation owners can achieve with their machine to truly make it their own.
“We can option the machine up locally so there are dealer kits that can be fitted like radios, high flow hydraulics, turbo pre-cleaners and more,” Anderson explained.
“There's a lot of options that we can fit to this machine which makes it very adaptable for the end user.”
The ST31 loader has a power output of 75hp and an operating weight of 3671kg.
Pricing for Wacker Neuson’s ST31 compact track loader starts from around $80,000 plus GST.
