Waringa takes on Equalizer distribution

Equalizer range of seeding machines finds new home in Australia

Hailing from South Africa, Equalizer has been specialising in seeding equipment such as seeders and air carts for over 20 years. Waringa Distribution has recently acquired the distribution of the brand in the country, with the exception of WA, in which AFGRI Equipment is distributing the brand's products.

Waringa will be offering Equalizer’s range of no-till disc seeders, min-till tine seeders and air carts.

One of the brand’s more popular offerings is the Equalizer Min-Till Tine Seeder which is suited to Australian conditions and is ideal for work in a variety of soils and stubble conditions, Waringa says.

The Equalizer Tine Seeder bar is available in widths of 9m, 12m, 15m, 18m and 24m. For transportation purposes, the seeder bars are foldable and feature 3-section folds or 5-section folds, depending on the model, with a folded width of 6m (7.8m for the 24m model). The bars feature the use of Domex steel throughout the units, including the tines, as well as a 10mm thick frame for durability.

The Equalizer Tine Seeder has a quick depth adjustment clip offering nine settings that requires minimal to no tools for the adjustment of seeding depth, Waringa adds. In addition, the tine units feature a semi-independent break away tine trip action whereby the tine can trip without changing the seed depth or the press wheel downforce. When a larger obstacle is encountered, the entire unit will trip to avoid damage.

The hydraulic cylinder is also equipped with a built-in dampener accumulator, which allows for a controlled return of the tine after tripping. Breakout force is user adjustable for optimum performance, as required.

The Equalizer Tine Seeder has single or double chute seed boot options, with fertilising and seeding operating between two semi-independent parts of the unit. This allows granular fertiliser to be placed behind the tine and under the seed at a depth of 150mm. A liquid fertiliser option is also available with the fertiliser placement behind the tine and on top of the seed.

There are two press wheel options with the seeder bars- narrow and wide, which allow for a slight lateral swing that aids in managing accuracy in rough surface conditions. Customers can also choose between several tine knife point options for precise seeding depth and the perfect furrow.

Equalizer also has a range of tow-between and tow-behind air carts featuring a compact tank design, individual scales and ISOBUS. With individual tank load cells, the operator can auto-calibrate and adjust seeding rates from the cabin during operation.

The carts boast a self-cleaning roller design, where one roller does a variety of crops by altering the speed. The polyethylene tanks are also suitable for liquid as well as granular fertiliser. Equalizer Air Carts range in size from 12,000 to 22,000L in either two, three or four bin configurations.

Waringa currently has a range of Equalizer Tine Seeders in stock for immediate delivery in time for the 2022 seeding season. For more information on the Equalizer brand and its offerings, visit Waringa.com.au/equalizer.
