WMFD 2020: Serafin debuts high clearance Ultisow HiLift seeder

Unique seeder bar allows easier servicing and maintenance of seeder modules

Most good seeders or tillage equipment have been built so owners don’t need to service them often, but those who have attempted any maintenance on the discs or modules know what a pain in the proverbial it could be.

Serafin Machinery identified that problem and claims it has the perfect solution in its Serafin Ultisow HiLift seeder bar.

The new bar is built similar to its Ultisow seeder, except that it can be hydraulically lifted by 1m to allow a clearance of 1.6m under the bar to allow farmers to safely and easily access the rows and the individual modules to service.

“Some customers are saying that instead of taking two days to change a set of discs when required, it might only take them a day because they can actually access them a lot quicker and easier than previously,” said Serafin Machinery sales manager, Rodney Dunn.

In addition, the seeder bar has been built heavier and wider in depth to allow for the fitting of an extra row if required, especially for farmers requesting for narrower row spacings.

A High Lift Ultisow seeder bar with a 12m width and 48 rows is priced from around $255,000 excluding GST.
