Yanmar Agribusiness, a subsidiary of Yanmar Holdings, has revealed its e-X1 agricultural machine concept as it works towards its Yanmar Green Challenge 2050 Initiative.
The prototype machine was recently unveiled at a stakeholder event, with a view to commencing market monitoring by 2025.
The e-X1 is battery-powered hence emits zero harmful emissions. It also has no cab and is remotely controlled, allowing the machine to work in even the most hazardous of conditions. Yanmar is considering incorporating autonomous driving features on the e-X1.
In addition to being environmentally friendly, the machine is also very quiet while operating, allowing the machine to effectively work at night, in more noise sensitive areas and even in greenhouses.

The e-X1 has been designed to work with various implements such as rotary tillers and grass cutters at the front and rear for tasks such as weeding, snow removal, and cultivating.
Its crawler tracks ensures stable operation on slopes and uneven terrain.
Yanmar Ag plans to initiate market monitoring in 2025 and actively progress toward mass-production through rigorous design and testing.
