Key Features Bale Chamber and Floating Chain Our specifically designed and engineered bale chamber creates the perfect shape for feeding out either side of your machine. The chamber design is based on two purposely engineered floating chains. Industry leading 13000lb chains are mounted under the bale so as to allow the weight to be transferred through the rollers to the curved support bars underneath the chain. The zinc plated chains ‘ the life blood’ of the product, consist of hardened pins, sleeves and rollers with unique side plates that ensure the hardened rollers sit proud of the plate resulting in the motor requiring far less torque and therefor less demand on your tractor. The chains are driven by a single drive roller coupled with two 18 tooth hardened sprockets on oversized 32mm shafts. The floating chain system allows the chain to form the initial shape of the bale giving an aggressive grip to even the tightest or odd shaped bale. Once the odd shape has been rolled 2 to 3 times it will return to an even round shape for even better feeding. Feed out Bars Built to withstand forces from all angles our bars are laser cut from 6mm steel and folded into channel for even more strength. The bars are gal dipped for corrosion resistance and are welded (rather than bolted) to the chain for strength and to eliminate the need to continual maintenance. Bale Lifting and Carrying Mechanism Knuckey Bale Lifting and Slider mechanism ticks all the boxes. Pivot points with heavy duty brass bushes ensure no wear. Pivoting tines with greasable pins allow for the picking up and carrying of all types and sizes of bales. The Slider frame and slider are both fabricated with strength and simplicity at the forefront. The lifting and tipping function is powered by a large 3” hydraulic ram to ensure the increasing weights of today’s and tomorrow’s bales are never an issue. Lowest Maintenance The TTF1000’s design with minimal moving parts as a major feature is the reason why the Knuckey feeder has been the number 1 choice for decades. The machine only having the one drive roller due to its unique chain system, means 50% less bearings needed than many of its competitors. The two highest quality self aligning bearings are protected from any foreign matter and are specifically located to ensure you can grease them with ease.
