Agrifac's Condor Endurance self-propelled sprayer was born in 2015 following feedback from Moree-based farmer Gerrit Kurstjens, so it's only fitting that the upgraded model be launched and demonstrated on the very farm where it all started.
Farmmachinerysales.com.au recently had the opportunity to see the new and improved Endurance II sprayer in action at the Beefwood Farm in Moree, NSW.
Building on the strong foundations of the original Condor Endurance, the upgraded model features larger fuel and water tanks for better productivity; as well as refined controls and more technology in the cab for a better experience overall.
A Cummins 400hp engine replaced the previous 320hp unit in the Condor Endurance to allow the Endurance II to handle trickier terrain such as sandy soil in Western Australia.
"We've made a full change to the interface system so we're running the same cab but we've changed all the joystick and controls as well as the screen in the cabin," said Agrifac Australia sales manager, Mark Bastian.
"We had the Ecotronic one in the old model. A lot of the fundamentals from the Ecotronic one are the same but now we've gone to the Ecotronic two which has a lot more functionality, it's easier to use and has a bigger screen.
"It's a much nicer machine internally."
Some changes have also been made to the lifting frame on the boom to add more stability to the machine.
"We've added another section of aluminium to the Condor Endurance II boom so we can keep our true 50-50 weight distribution," Bastian said.
"We're very excited about the new Endurance 2. It's been mainly driven from customer and farmer feedback to try and make what is a good machine better.
"We've only released it in the last couple of months and we have five currently working in Western Australia.
"We're pretty excited about the feedback we've had from customers who had Endurance I units and they're now on to Endurance IIs."
