Kubota M7-4 series set for Australian debut at Henty

Kubota Australia has unveiled its new M7-4 Series tractors, with the updated range set to make its public debut at the Henty Machinery Field Days on September 22.

The fourth-generation M7 arrives in two models – the M7-154 and M7-174 – producing 148hp and 168hp respectively, with Deluxe, Premium and Premium KVT grades available.

Building on more than a decade of M7 operation in Australian conditions, the new series introduces a redesigned operator cab, updated hydraulics, a new front loader and expanded connectivity, as well as increased power.

Kubota Tractor Australia senior product manager, Konstantin Blersch, said feedback from Australian and New Zealand customers had helped shape the latest generation.

“The M7 has had more than a decade to prove itself in Australian conditions, and the M7-4 builds on that experience,” Blersch said.

“It’s a genuine step up. We’re making sure it keeps working the way Australian farms need it to. With up to 168HP on tap, plus a PTO boost for the heavier jobs, we’re broadening where the M7 sits in the market.”

Kubota is positioning the M7-4 as an all-round tractor capable of moving between loader work, haymaking and row-crop applications.

Blersch said this versatility reflected the increasing number of farming operations using tractors of this size across a range of implements and applications.

“There’s a growing number of implements out there that make perfect sense for a tractor this size,” he said.

“It fits whether someone’s already got the gear and is scaling up, or they’re sizing up for the first time.”

Among the key changes is a redesigned operator environment, with loader, hydraulic and transmission functions brought together on a single control lever.

“It sounds like a small thing, but after a full day in the seat, it makes a real difference to how tired you are at the end of it," Blersch said.

The M7-4 also receives revised hydraulics and a new front loader, with Kubota placing an emphasis on allowing operators to move efficiently between different jobs.

Technology has also been expanded, with ISOBUS compatibility and Tractor Implement Management (TIM) available on Premium models.

TIM enables the tractor and compatible implements to exchange information and automatically manage certain functions during operation.

Kubota says its broader range of tillage, spraying and haymaking equipment can also be paired with the M7-4 for farming operations looking to run a single-brand machinery setup.

The new M7-4 Series will be available through Kubota’s Australian dealer network, with stock arriving progressively throughout 2026.
