New HARDI ALPHA evo sprayer demo coming soon to QLD

Customers will be able to see and test the new ALPHA evo 4100 self-propelled sprayer with H-Select nozzle control

Queensland based farm equipment dealership, Brown and Hurley, is teaming up with HARDI to offer farmers the chance to test drive the new HARDI ALPHA evo self-propelled sprayer equipped with a 4100-litre tank, a 36m aluminium Pommier boom and HARDI’s H-Select nozzle control technology.

The HARDI Spray Days will be held from Feb 16 to March 3, 2022 in the rural towns of Biloela, Emerald and Roma.

According to HARDI, the ALPHA evo features a fine balance between front and rear and has a low total weight giving an optimal weight to capacity ratio and high performance even under wet field conditions.

It has a ground clearance of up to 165 cm that allows the machine to travel safely over tall crops such as sweet corn and sunflowers.

It features the new large and spacious EvoCab II that has been specifically developed by HARDI with its '3-pillar design' for superior visibility. The pressurised cab keeps dust out and the operator comfortable all day, HARDI said.

The new ALPHA evo comes with FloatRide suspension that replaces the earlier standard of coil spring suspension with airbags. According to HARDI, the FloatRide suspension allows for individual wheel movement of up to 185mm to provide maximum comfort to the operator even at high spraying speeds. FloatRide ensures boom stability is maintained even on steep slopes while chassis height is kept constant regardless of tank volume, HARDI added.

H-Select is HARDI’s advanced nozzle control technology which uses 4-head nozzle bodies arrayed in individual boom sections that are controlled by an autonomous controller.

The controller monitors each boom section’s speed against the set spray rate, then selects nozzle heads rapidly and precisely in order to achieve consistent spray delivery.

According to HARDI, H-Select is able to achieve a target rate accuracy of 90 per cent or more over the entire paddock, eliminating under- or over-dosing.

Brown and Hurley Agriculture’s Jeff Saunders said demo events like this are important to allow customers the chance to try before they buy and get a feel for the equipment under real operating conditions.

“Also, as the technology changes within these machines, we can show our customers hands-on how they can benefit from these techs in the field,” he said.

There will be several HARDI Australia representatives in attendance at the demo days to assist farmers with navigating the equipment and answer any queries they may have.

All attendees who register for the demo days will be put into a draw to win a lighting package worth $1000. Brown and Hurley will also be giving away merchandise during the event.

Due to the pandemic, Brown and Hurley will be conducting the demo days on a one-on-one basis, therefore registration for the event is essential.

Details for the demo days, location and dates are as below:

February 16 and 17 - Biloela at 151 Hintons Lane, Thangool

February 23 and 24 – Emerald at “Denison Downs”, Denison Road, Emerald

March 2 and 3 – Roma at the Roma Gun Club, 151 Geoghegan Rd, Roma
